A role has arisen for a Paraplanner to provide a high level service to our clients by supporting our Advisers taking responsibility for the client file from data gathering, analysis, production and implementation of the Financial Plan.

Ben Slater, Trainee Paraplanner, is a perfect example of how people can shine through hard work, support, commitment and talent.
Ben joined us in July 2013 as an apprentice. Within a year he was ready to take on more challenging Elite and Private Client work. After completing his apprenticeship, he was made a Client Servicing Administrator.
With several Diploma level exams under his belt, Ben has now been promoted to a Trainee Paraplanner. With more exams firmly in his sights, Ben is keen to become a part of our authorised Paraplanner team.

Accountancy to glorified tea boy and then hitting the heights
Realising that a career in accountancy wasn’t for him, Gary joined Sun Alliance Insurance in a Sales Support Role (perhaps better described as a tea boy!).
It soon became apparent that the best prospects for career progression within Sun Alliance were open to the sales advisers and so Gary applied for, and was accepted onto, Sun Alliance’s snappily-named SCUT course (Sales Consultants Under Training).
This was an intensive 12 month course, at the end of which Gary got the keys to his company car and a list of Independent Financial Advisers to generate business from – none of which had ever had dealings with Sun Alliance!
The next 4 years were spent developing business from these Independent Financial Advisers before being promoted to cover the Nottingham area.
It was at this time that Gary started to call on Ulyatts. They quickly developed an excellent working relationship, which culminated in Gary being offered a position as an Adviser. Keen to develop his career, Gary joined in January 1997 and hasn’t looked back.

Sally has been with us since 1993.
Now working part-time, Sally has filled a number of key roles within the firm since joining, which include being Head of Department.
However, as her family has grown over time, Sally has needed a more flexible approach to working hours in order to achieve the right work/life balance. Here, we are keen to accommodate such a flexible approach, so that she is able to work from home one day a week and we retain a highly valued team player.
